Spaced Practice — Skill Retention Plan

Spaced practice turns short, focused sessions into durable skills by revisiting a skill at increasing intervals. Use this form to capture a concrete plan you can save and follow: define the skill and goal, choose a practice cadence (pick suggested intervals or add custom spacing), list practice tasks for sessions, specify how you'll measure performance, and set short feedback and reflection routines.

Example cadence: Day 1 (initial), Day 3 (quick review), Day 10 (deeper practice), Week 4 (transfer to realistic context), Month 2 (maintenance).

One-line name (e.g., 'Line Balancing Technique', 'Patient Handoff Script', 'Spanish Phrases for Meetings').
Describe what 'good' looks like and how you'll know you achieved it (e.g., 'Complete the checklist in under 7 minutes with zero safety misses').
Enter a date you plan to start (YYYY-MM-DD). This anchors the schedule preview.
How long each practice session should normally last. Short focused sessions often beat marathon reviews.
Common evidence-based cadence options. If you add a custom interval below, it will be included in your plan.
Enter an integer number of days for an additional spacing point (optional). For example, enter 10 to add 'Day 10'.
Describe each session template, one per line. Format suggestion: Label | Tasks (comma separated) | Performance criteria. Example: 'Initial: teach & demo | 3 drills; 2 real scenarios | 80% checklist accuracy'.
How will you measure success across sessions? List measurable criteria or thresholds (accuracy, time, error rate, customer satisfaction).
Name a person, role, automated source, or 'self' for self-assessment. Keep feedback frequent and specific.
Choose how feedback will be delivered.
How quickly should you get feedback after a practice session? Short windows (0–3 days) keep learning momentum.
Select prompts to include after each practice. Reflection helps convert practice into understanding.
Optional single-line custom prompt to include after sessions.
Selecting yes will include instructions you can copy to add events to your calendar. Full calendar integration is a future enhancement.
Anything else to remember (equipment, access, prerequisite knowledge, teammates).
