OKRs & Planning — Playbook with Templates

Welcome — Practical OKRs that guide choices

This interactive playbook helps you capture one objective and up to four measurable key results, name an owner, record lead measures, and run a short quarterly planning checklist. Save entries to build a team backlog of objectives over time.

Why this matters

Good OKRs translate strategy into measurable outcomes that guide trade-offs. Avoid turning OKRs into activity lists by focusing on measurable results, ownership, and a small set of leading measures that signal progress.

Example OKRs (use these as models)

  • Marketing — Objective: Grow qualified demand from small and mid-market by improving conversion.
Key Results: 1) Increase MQL-to-SQL conversion from 8% to 14%. 2) Generate 450 qualified leads this quarter. 3) Improve landing page conversion from 3% to 6%.
  • Operations — Objective: Reduce production downtime to improve on-time delivery.
Key Results: 1) Reduce unplanned downtime by 40%. 2) Increase OEE from 72% to 82%. 3) Resolve priority maintenance tickets within 48 hours, 90% of the time.
  • Product — Objective: Increase user activation for the new onboarding flow.
Key Results: 1) Raise 7-day activation rate from 22% to 38%. 2) Reduce onboarding drop-off at step 2 from 35% to 15%. 3) Achieve NPS of 35+ among new users.
