Frontline Supervisor — Daily Huddle Script & Evidence Capture
Why this huddle matters
Ten focused minutes each shift aligns the team on safety, quality, and the single most important target for the day. A brief, repeatable structure reduces missed issues and creates clear ownerable commitments. Use this script as a predictable rhythm: run it reliably, capture one clear commitment per person, and follow up at the next huddle.
How to use this page
Read the short script below, then complete the evidence-capture fields to record the huddle. If you prefer, keep a paper copy and enter the log after the shift. The form stores the key points so your team can track commitments and escalations over time.
Script (approx. 10 minutes)
- Safety moment — 30s: One short example, reminder, or observed hazard. Invite a one-line comment from the team if relevant.
- Yesterday's key result — 1 min: State one measurable outcome (e.g., production, quality metric, downtime). Call out a quick evidence note if available.
- Today's targets & constraints — 3 min: Share the primary targets and any known constraints (staffing, materials, machine status).
- Issues & escalations — 3 min: Share known issues; identify what needs escalation and who will own it.
- Commitments — 2 min: Each commitment should be ownerable and time-bound. Repeat the owner and due time aloud.
Quick coaching prompts
- Invite one team member to share a short improvement idea each week.
- Keep the tone factual and solution-oriented; avoid blame.
- When commitments are missed, ask what prevented completion and what support is needed.
Timing tip: Use a visible 10-minute timer. If the huddle drifts, park non-urgent items and capture them for a follow-up.
Save a personal copy, bring it to your team, or tailor the questions and workflow to fit what you are hungry to improve.
