Deployment & Prioritization Scorecard

An interactive, repeatable scorecard to evaluate validated ideas for production deployment. Collects standardized scores across impact, ease, readiness, risk, and strategic fit, supports weighted scoring, documents owners and rationale, and produces a clear recommendation with recommended thresholds.

Deployment & Prioritization Scorecard

This scorecard helps teams convert validated ideas into production changes by scoring objective factors, documenting ownership, and producing a clear recommendation. Score each axis on a 1–5 scale (higher is better unless noted). You can adjust weights to reflect your organization's priorities. Calculate the weighted average using the formula below and compare it to the recommended thresholds.

Weighted score formula: weighted_score = (score1 * weight1 + score2 * weight2 + ... ) / (sum of weights). Example weights are provided but editable.

Recommended thresholds (suggested guidance): weighted_score ≥ 4.0 → Go / Deploy; 3.0–3.99 → Consider with conditions or staged rollout; < 3.0 → No-go or requires rework. Use these as starting guidance and adapt to your context.

Concise name for the idea or initiative being evaluated.
Person accountable for taking the initiative from pilot to production.
1 = negligible; 5 = transformational. Consider measurable outcomes (revenue, cost savings, quality, throughput, customer value).
1.0 10.0
1 = very difficult / costly; 5 = very easy / low cost. Use this instead of raw cost so higher = better across axes.
1.0 10.0
1 = not ready; 5 = ready to operate at scale (staffing, SOPs, training, supporting systems).
1.0 10.0
1 = high unresolved regulatory risk; 5 = no regulatory concerns. Higher = better. If unsure, consult compliance owner before scoring.
1.0 10.0
1 = misaligned; 5 = strongly aligned with current strategy or key objectives.
1.0 10.0
Relative weight for expected impact. Default = 30. Weights do not need to sum to 100, but the weighted average formula divides by the sum of weights. Adjust to reflect your priorities.
Default = 20.

Compute the weighted score using the formula above and enter it here. Example calculation included in the introduction. (Future enhancement: auto-calc and visualizations.)
Choose the recommended decision based on the score and qualitative context.
Explain why this recommendation was chosen. Note required mitigations, experiments, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
Person responsible for deployment and operational handoff.
Estimated date for go/no-go or production rollout.
Record assumptions, dependencies, links to prototypes, pilot results, or supporting documents.
