Purpose

This interactive sheet helps you plan a Gage R&R, capture the measurement data, and store the details you need for later analysis. It does not replace a full statistical ANOVA report, but it standardizes data capture and records the context (sampling plan, operators, parts, trials, units). Paste your measurement table in the format shown and submit. For a quick acceptability check, note your preferred percent GRR threshold below.

Quick notes

  • Common quick rule: percent GRR < 10% is often acceptable; 10–30% needs review; >30% is unacceptable. Use ANOVA when possible for more accurate partitioning.
  • Preferred measured format: PartID,Operator,Trial,Measurement (CSV rows). See example below.

Optional: helps group submissions by project, order number, or study name.
Who entered this data (name or initials).
Describe the goal (e.g., validate new fixture, qualify operator variation), how parts were selected (random, sequential), and any constraints.
Number of unique parts or part conditions included in the study.
List the part identifiers included in the study, one per line. Example: PartA PartB PartC.
How many operators participated in the study.
List operator names or codes, one per line in the order you will reference them.
Number of repeated measurements on each part by each operator.
e.g., mm, in, °C, V, etc. Include instrument model if relevant.
If parts have a nominal value, enter it to help interpretation.
Enter tolerance as ± or a spec range (e.g., ±0.5 mm or 10.0–12.0 mm). Helps interpret %GRR relative to tolerance.
Choose a method to guide interpretation and next steps.
Enter the percent GRR threshold you consider acceptable for this use (industry rule of thumb: 10). This is for interpretation guidance only.
Paste the measurement rows here using CSV columns: PartID,Operator,Trial,Measurement. Example rows: PartA,Operator1,1,12.01 PartA,Operator1,2,12.03 PartA,Operator2,1,11.98 PartB,Operator1,1,9.50 Notes: - Ensure operators match the operator names above. - Trials should be numbered 1..N. - Use dot as decimal separator.
Document anything unusual (loose fixture, unstable temp, different stylus), or decisions made during data collection.
If you request it and a calculation capability is enabled, the platform may compute %GRR and return a basic interpretation. Otherwise your data will be stored for later analysis.
